Mindful Sunday Escapes

MBLC Wirral

Women are brilliant at looking after everyone else but when it comes to their own space, they often need a little nudge. For the past 3 years, we've been doing a little nudging  creating the perfect calming escape at the beautiful Leasowe Castle, nestled between the sea and their lovely gardens.  This year we're trying this gorgeous rustic cottage by the lake creating an exclusive experience for just 7 people.

Described by our customers as a spa for the body and mind this experience really will give you the opportunity to get back to nature and truly switch off.  You'll leave feeling rested and relaxed.

Arrive at 10am to kick off your shoes and get to know the other women over tea, coffee and pastries in the rustic kitchen overlooking the woods.  Moving into the relaxation area you'll be expertly guided through two restorative practices designed to take you out of that busy head space.

All cushions and blankets are provided and there is loads of space to spread out and pick the perfect spot.

After lunch there's a guided reflection that helps you to spot the signs of emotional imbalance followed some time to enjoy the gardens. You won't want to leave but when you do return to the outside world, you can take a little bit of your day with you.  The experience includes our exclusive  Mindful Moments candle handmade by the Liverpool Candle Company and our calming sleep aid, "Sleepy Nights", recorded by your host and accessible anytime from your mobile or tablet.

Just an easy day taking time out, meeting like minded people and walking along the beach.    Limited to just 7 people.

What to expect

We have this beautiful rustic cottage to ourselves which is why we are limiting our group size to 7.

Getting here

Ahead of the day, you'll receive directions and on the day we'll greet you at the meeting point to assist you finding the venue.

Meeting up

We'll meet in the rustic kitchen at 10am where we will introduce ourselves over pastries, tea and coffee.  There's no rush and as we lightly ease ourselves into the day, I'll provide an introduction into mindfulness and meditation.

Relaxation

When everyone has settled in, we'll move into the relaxation area where your cushions and blankets await.  Here you can kick back and relax on our meditation mats just allowing yourself to drift into a soothing guided practice.

There'll be time to ask questions before we move onto the science behind the power of kindness and happiness hormones. This is followed by a chance to experience the calming effects of a kindness practice for yourself as we move onto the second practice of the day.

Lunch

This takes us nicely onto our light lunch break before finishing on a guided reflection that will help you to highlight emotional imbalance in your day.

As we're in this beautiful spot, why not enjoy some time in the garden, or pop down to the beach at meols.

More Details

Why mindfulness?

Mindfulness has been a feature of Eastern culture for thousands of years.  We are all born with the capacity to be mindful but somewhere along the way our busy minds take over.

Mindfulness is a gentle way of approaching our experience which unfolds uniquely for each of us. It allows us to start where we are, and go at our own pace simply working with the edges.

  • You are guided in a safe and supported environment that encourages  compassion around all experiences.  This brings benefits to ourselves and those we interact with.

Meet your guide

Mindfulness has changed my life in so many ways.  It's helped me to work with stress, deal with narcissism and to live each day in colour.

What I love about this course is the information it provides around how our mind and body works.  These little insights really encourage us to take a step back and reflect on our inner world.

The language of the guidance also delivers a sense of safety and curiousity.

I work better with small groups and believe this creates space to talk and learn from each other without the awkwardness that might arise in larger gatherings.
